NEWS LETTER FROM AN UNNAMED CLUB.
DEAR MEMBER,
First I would like to thank-you for attending our first mtg.
with so much enthusiasm. IT was a great response. We hope to see it
carry on.
Next mtg. will be held NOV. 3/91 at the home of BILL
GRANOUKOS in MIRACLE BEACH. Time for the next mtg. to start is 1:30pm.
The main topic at that time will be a name for the club.
Please bring any names you feel would be suitable for the club to that mtg.
Please remember to bring chairs and coffee cups also. Please bring wives
and any other interested friends. Feel free to bring a small dessert to go
with coffee. MTG. to be held under cover, so weather should be no problem.

Extracts from our second newsletter - December 1991
PRESIDENTS REPORT
Bill Granoukos
Most of our committees have been formed for the coming year
and are working very hard. These committees will probably be coming to you
to ask for a hand so please pitch in. Membership is something we must all
take part in. We should all set ourselves a goal of introducing at least
one family to our club before the next general meeting. I mean talk to
them, invite them to our meeting, introduce them to our members and make them
feel welcome. Don't pressure them to sign up if they first wish to see
what the club is all about. We can do it!! I'm pleased to announce
our club now has liability insurance in amount of One Million Dollars covering
the members effective December 1, 1991. More on this at the next meeting.
We are gonna be in the New Year before we know it and I'm told that our
committees have some very exciting things coming up for the club members in
1992. If you have any ideas you would like to put forward between meetings
please call any executive member. You know it's not too early to think
about our Fall Fair and what you are gonna display. It is my hope that
every club member will put in a display even if it's only one item. Also
are we gonna have a display and membership table at Comox Nautical Days,
Cumberland 24th of May, Courtenay July 1st, Cambell River Salmon Festival.
Are we gonna travel to Duncan, Saanich, The Mainland, Lynden Washington??
Lots of things to dream about waiting for spring. Well I guess I better
stop rembling and wish all the Best of the Festive Season and Happy New Year.
The past month has been busy with the formal formation of the
club. At our first meeing Nov. 3/91, it was decided the club would be
officially known as Glacier Power AND Equipment Club.
At the first meeting ten family memberships were paid with
several people calling during the meeting to apoligize for their absence, and
expressing their interest. a great start for a great future for our club.
Wishing you each and everyone a safe and MERRY CHRISTMAS, and
may SANTA bring you something that goes putt, putt.
Rumor has it Santa has a line on a Wee McGregor drag saw for
under our tree.
TOM MORTON
VICE. PRESIDENT
FELLOW FAMILY MEMBERS
Just wanting to wish everyone a MERRY CRISTMAS and HAPPY NEW
YEAR. Our membership cards are underway and you should receive them soon.
Hoping to have anyone who can spare the time to attend the meeting on January
12/92 at the HALBY HALL in Black Creek at 1:30PM.
We will draw the tickets for the COVENTRY MOTOR at that
meeting, so you still have time to get your tickets there.
MICHELE MORTON and PAT WOOD have made up an agenda for the
coming year, and it sure does look to be exciting to me. Thank you ladies
and everyone else who may have been involved. I will enclose a copy for
everyone to have a view.
